St. Mark Choir

The St. Mark Choir is made up of individuals who love to sing and help lead worship for our Sunday Service.  People with all musical backgrounds and music reading skills (or not) are welcome!  The Choir provides music for weekly Sunday services and presents musicals for the Easter and Christmas seasons each year.  We sing with the St. Mark Orchestra most Sundays and perform a variety of worship music throughout the year.  Occasionally, we plan special services and concerts to perform for the church and community.  Choir members enjoy lots of singing, fun, and fellowship at rehearsals, which are Wednesdays from 6:45 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.  We begin at 6:45 p.m. in the Sanctuary with the Orchestra and move to the Choir Room at 7:00 p.m. for the remainder of our time.  No audition is necessary.  If you would like to share a special solo for our services, we encourage you to be part of the choir first!  For more information or to join our choir, please contact Angie at  angie@stmarkumc.com. 

St. Mark Orchestra

Grab your horns, get those instruments out of the closet, and come join the St. Mark Orchestra! If you play an instrument or have played in the past, we would love to have you.  Brass, woodwinds, rhythm and percussion instruments are all needed.  The Orchestra plays most every Sunday for the Worship service and at those special times of the year like Easter and Christmas.  Music with the choir and worship music is what is prepared at our weekly rehearsals, which are Wednesdays from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.  A variety of worship music is played and some music reading skills are necessary to play with this group.  Once a month we host Community Players from the surrounding area to join us in playing for the Sunday service.  Anyone 9th grade and older is welcome to join the St. Mark Orchestra.  For more information or to join the Orchestra please contact Angie at  angie@stmarkumc.com.

St. Mark Bells

Our Hand Bell group rings a set of 3 octave Malmark Bells and Chimes.  Music reading skills are not a must but are helpful in being part of this group.  Throughout the year, the Hand Bells ring once a month and at seasonal services such as Holy Week, Easter, and Christmas.  They perform a variety of music and ringing techniques, and ringing chimes makes for a fun time within this group.  Rehearsals are Mondays from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.  During the Christmas season, we plan times to ring for the Community and / or at Retirement and Nursing Homes.  Spreading the joy of music while having fun ringing is a highlight for this group!  We are always looking for more ringers to give us a reason to play more bells, but substitute ringers are always needed as well.  For more information or to join the Hand Bells, please contact Angie at  angie@stmarkumc.com. 

The Well Band

A group of musicians (volunteers) with varied musical skills make up the Well Band.  This group, on a rotation team basis, serves as worship leaders for the Saturday evening Contemporary service called The Well.  Guitar players (acoustic, electric, bass), drummers, keyboard players, and vocalists are needed to make up our teams.  Each person, according to their instrument, is assigned to a team with a worship leader and helps lead worship once or twice a month.  The Well service meets on Saturday evenings at 6:00 p.m.  The Well Band gathers on Saturday afternoon for sound check at 4:30 p.m.  Music is sent through our Planning Center services and your personal preparation time is helpful for you to be prepared!  All contemporary music is the style for The Well service.  If you’d like to join the rotation or you are interested in being a (volunteer) worship leader, please contact Angie at  angie@stmarkumc.com.  

Music for our Pre-school and Child Development Center is every Wednesday between 9:15 a.m. and 9:45 a.m.  If your children are enrolled in these programs they will experience fun songs with movement!
